Through our Housing Disaster Resilience and Recovery (HDRR) programme, we support families affected by natural disasters with shelter solutions. Losing a home in the event of a disaster leaves families devastated. Safe, decent shelter provides the platform upon which post-disaster assistance is built. Habitat’s Pathways to Permanence approach places the affected families on a path to permanent shelter-based solutions; helping them rebuild their lives and moving them from ruin to recovery. Our HDRR programme has supported over 14,95,602 individuals across India.

Guidelines

  1. As per Income Tax guidelines, organisations will have to mandatorily generate certificate 10BE for contributors. For this, contributors must provide their complete address and a Govt recognized unique identification number.
  2. As per the FCRA 2010, to receive from foreign contributors, submission of a passport copy (front and back pages) is mandatory.
  3. All Indian contributions made to Habitat for Humanity India are eligible for tax exemption of 50% u/s 80G of the Income Tax Act, 1961.
